Molly and Tom were married on September 1, 1946, in the University Chapel at Lawrence, Douglas County, Kansas. He worked as a sales engineer for General Electric Company for 37 years. They had the following children:

  1. Connie Sue Harris, b. November 11, 1947, at Denver, Denver County, Colorado.
  2. Mary Ann Harris, b. January 12, 1949, at Schenectady, Niskayuna County, New York.
  3. Sally Jane Harris, b. May 17, 1953, at Oak Park, Cook County, Illinois.
  4. Thomas Chip Harris III, b. November 29, 1955, at La Grange, Cook County, Illinois.
