Joseph was a graduate of Normandy High School class of 1969 and joined the United States Air Force in 1971 on his 20th birthday. From that day he went on to spend the next 20 years proudly serving his country before retiring as a Master Sergeant on his 40th birthday. During his service time, he was a member of National Emergency Airborne Command Post, serving on the Nightwatch plane. Joe continued working for the Army Human Resource Command as a civilian. Even after retiring, his passion lied in the military, but especially World War II. Joe was very intelligent. He was an avid reader, enjoyed researching his family ancestry, and was the family photographer. More than anything, he loved spending time with those he loved.
