Born March 24, 1949.
Ray Hansford graduated from high school in Galt in 1967 and then joined the Canadian Air Force. He served primarily as an instructor, where he had a world wide reputation. In 1978 through 1980, he was the soloist with the Canadian Force Snowbirds, a world famous aerobatic team. In England, he met his wife, Jacqueline Elizabeth Ann ("Jackie") Downes, who was an air traffic controller. He later joined the Royal Australian Air Force, and later was on contract to the United Arab Emirates, training pilots. He now works for Bombardier, running a simulator to train pilots.
